Archery Lessons, Classes and Courses in Scotland.

MRM Archery was established in Scotland in 2009 by Michael & Rona Mather and Moira Taylor, extremely experienced international archers. Michael, Rona and Moira have in excess of 60 years experience in providing Archery Classes, Lessons and Coaching, Come & Try Taster sessions, Team Building and Corporate Archery events throughout Scotland and in providing support and advice in running archery clubs.

MRM Archery staff have appeared on Scottish Television, assisted in the making of a television programme for the BBC and have featured on BBC Radio Scotland.

MRM Archery offers a wide range of services, throughout the week and at weekends, drawing on extensive experience and a wide ranging network of contacts.  We have been established specifically to offer individuals, groups and organisations the opportunity to experience the challenge and fun of archery. Please visit our 'Events' page for News about our business and full details of our forthcoming Courses and Events.

Archery in Scotland

Archery in Scotland can be enjoyed by almost everybody whether they are able-bodied, or have a disability, although clients with particular needs should contact MRM Archery in advance to discuss their requirements. We are experienced in teaching people with a range of physical and learning disabilities and sensory impairment. People of all ages can try archery although we recommend a minimum age of approx. 12 years old for our beginners courses.

We are a mobile business and can support you at your own venue, a venue of your choice or provide you with one of two fantastic venues in Central Scotland - both are within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Whilst we provide archery in Scotland we will also travel throughout the UK. We provide all the archery equipment needed eg targets, bows, arrows etc. In addition to providing a full safety briefing, archery instruction and tuition we will undertake a risk assessment of your venue and provide you with a full written report.

Archery Classes & Lessons

Our archery classes and lessons are fun sessions which last approximately 1 hour. They are provided at our own venues, or a venue of your choice, and are specifically aimed at those who have little or no experience in archery. At our classes you will learn about the equipment we use and the basics of how to shoot a bow and arrow safely. Our classes can add a real fun element and challenge to corporate events, school activities, children's parties and stag and hen parties. In partnership with the venues we work with we can put together a package of various activities for your group - just contact us and we can discuss what's on offer.

Archery Courses

Beginners Course: If you want to learn more about archery then our beginners course is for you. Our beginners course runs over three consecutive weeks and lasts for approximately one and a half hours each week. The course will cover a range of topics such as safety, archery technique, equipment and scoring. If you would like to join an archery club you will be required to go through a beginners course before applying for membership.  On satisfactory completion of our beginners course you will receive a certificate which can be given to a club as proof of having attended our course.

GNAS Leaders Course: We are accredited by Archery GB to run the GNAS Archery Leaders Course which is specifically for people wishing to teach archery at activity centres, leisure centres, to community groups etc - contact us for further details.

We are fully committed to providing our clients with the best possible, and the safest, archery experience available on the market at an affordable price. We fully comply with the most rigorous safety standards, based on the guidelines approved by both Archery GB and Scottish Archery.

We have a strong focus on Child Protection matters and have embedded this within our business philosophy. We provide the safest possible environment for children, young people and vulnerable groups.

For more information on our full range of services please follow the menu links above. Classes and beginners courses can be purchased directly through our on-line shop.
